We are all humans, the species, destined to live in society, with its rules and restrictions. Speaking of society and the individual, we cannot avoid saying, that influence of the masses is getting higher and higher, manipulating us with the media.
If I don’t want to be like others? I want to do what, that I want, dress, talk to who and how I want, be myself?
Fashion allows us to express ourselves, and true fashion is to express ourselves. Express yourself not only in outfits, choosing fashion style and clothing, but on the opposite, not to choose to follow trends, but to make trends work for personal purposes. Sounds promising, doesn’t it?
The main question is why does one want to be different? The right answer is why the unique person is different. A self-confident, intelligent, educated person with certain goals in life is always attractive and is always different not because he/she wants to be different, or follows seasonal trends and not because one chooses to wear fancy, or designer clothing, but because he/she chooses to wear what, he/she likes, whether designer clothing or not; listen and feel what corresponds to one’s interests; doubt; study things that make one be better.
At this point yes, that brave, driven people with wide range of interests in art and culture, they like the special things, which fashion offers, and they know how to wear it proudly and naturally, smoothly between outfits and people. And here is that point, when trends start working for the person and not vice versa.
The real freedom to be different is in the freedom of choice. Freedom of choice is found in ‘acceptance of the fact, that choice is there and it is unlimited. Open-minded people at this point accept the world in all its variety and beauty among people, sexes, colors, viewpoints, lifestyles, etc. By accepting the world you also accept yourself!
How does it work? Simple! Study, be curious, read, travel, dream, try, do! We have no choice for the past, but we have it for the future, the development of the future is up to you, to us, to those who are different.
